Clean, wash, and chop the green beans
Cook them in boiling salted water until tender, then drain well
Melt the butter or margarine, add the onion, and sauté for about 5 minutes until soft
Add the flour, salt, and black pepper
Stir well to combine
Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly, and cook over low heat until the sauce thickens
Place half of the green beans in a refractory dish with a capacity of 1 liter, cover with sausage, white sauce, and the remaining green beans
Sprinkle with cheese
Put it in the moderate-temperature oven (170°C) and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the mixture simmers and the cheese is melted
