Melt the butter or margarine
Add the onion and sauté for 1 minute
Add the garlic and sauté, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes more
Add the mandioquinha and stir well
Add the broth
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes or until the mandioquinha is tender
Check the seasoning and blend in a blender
Serve with toasted bread crumbs, garnishing with 4 portions.
