2 tablespoons of butter
800 grams of ground beef cut into 2.5 cm cubes

1 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of caraway or Kummel
2 tomatoes, peeled and seeded, diced
2 red bell peppers, seeded, diced
2 potatoes, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1 and 1/2 teaspoons of hot paprika

Melt the butter
Add the ground beef
Fry, stirring occasionally, until browned
Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes
Season with salt and caraway
Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for 25 minutes
Add the tomato, bell pepper, and 1 cup of water
Simmer for an additional 40 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add the potato, black pepper, and hot paprika
Add an additional 6 cups of water
Stir well and simmer for another 30 minutes
Check the seasoning
Serve in 8 portions
Note: If desired, serve with black bread.
