2 apples
2 lemons
5 tablespoons of butter
2 cups of caramelized sugar
250 grams of ready-made puff pastry
2 apples
2 lemons
5 tablespoons of butter
2 cups of caramelized sugar
250 grams of ready-made puff pastry
Peel the apples
Cut them in halves and remove the core
To prevent them from browning, sprinkle lemon juice over them
In the bottom of a round baking dish (25 cm in diameter), spread a thick layer of butter and one cup of caramelized sugar
Arrange the apple halves, overlapping slightly, to cover the entire surface of the baking dish
Dust with the remaining sugar
Place the baking dish over low heat to cook the apples for thirty minutes
Next, cover them with the puff pastry, folding the edges so they are thicker than the rest of the pastry
Press down firmly to ensure the apples remain flat on the bottom of the form
Bake in a preheated oven (medium temperature) for twenty minutes
Once the pastry is golden brown, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly
