2 cups of chopped dried damsons
1 1/2 cup of water
1 1/4 cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of flour
3 egg yolks beaten
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
2 medium bananas cut
1 piece of baked tart crust
Whipped Cream:
3 large egg whites
6 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

Whipped Cream:
3 large egg whites

Mix the damsons and water
Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes or until they are soft
Mix the sugar and flour, then add to the damson mixture
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring constantly
Remove some of the mixture and add the egg yolks
Return everything to the pan with the remaining damsons
Cook and stir until it reaches a boil again
Add the butter
Place the banana slices in the baked tart crust
Cover with the damson filling
Prepare the whipped cream by beating the egg whites until stiff and adding sugar gradually, stirring until stiff peaks form
Place the whipped cream over the damson filling, covering the entire surface
Bake at moderate temperature for 12 to 15 minutes
Let cool before serving.
