2 cans of black beer
Salt and pepper to taste

Let the beer come to room temperature
Wash the rice in running water and let any excess water drain off
Chop the onion into small cubes and melt the butter
Add the onion and sauté until it becomes transparent
Add the rice and fry until it starts sticking to the bottom of the pan
Add the beer, stir, and season with salt and pepper
Let it boil, reduce heat, and cook until the rice is tender
If necessary, add more hot water
Remove from heat and serve immediately dusted with parsley or your preferred fresh herbs.
