Fry onions finely chopped in butter. Add rice and let it fry as well. Then add 3 tomato halves without seeds or skins, and when they're tender, add water and salt. Let the mixture come to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to cook the rice slowly. Just before removing from heat, add cooked peas with salt and pepper. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
