250g of rice
3/4 cup (heaping) of butter
250g of beef (chuck or round steak) cut into 2cm cubes
1 full spoonful of finely chopped onion
600g of green beans, shelled and rinsed
6 cups of boiling water
Salt and black pepper to taste

Melt the butter and add the beef
Brown it on all sides
Let it cook until browned, then add the onion and green beans
Simmer for 5 minutes, then add the rice
Stir and add boiling water
Simmer with the lid ajar until the rice and green beans are tender
If needed, add more boiling water
Finally, serve hot with fresh sour cream and red pepper flakes.
