Heat the butter or margarine and sauté the minced garlic and onion
Add the black beans and stir-fry quickly
Add the remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat until the rice is cooked and the water has evaporated
Add more water if necessary
Transfer to a refractory form and bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes
Serve in 14 portions.
