1 dusty of corn or approximately 2 kg
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoons (of soup) of chopped salsa
6 tomatoes, seeds removed, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
4 sprigs of rosemary
1/3 cup of olive oil
2 and 1/2 cups of uncooked rice
2 cups of water

Pound the dusty with a meat pounder several times
Wash and clean it well, cutting into 2 cm pieces or so
In a pan, place the olive oil and all the seasonings, heat over low flame for some minutes
Add the dusty and cook over low heat
When the dusty is soft, add the rice and sufficient water to cover it
Continue cooking over low heat, stirring occasionally
Add more water if necessary
The rice should be cooked but not dry
Serve immediately
Yields 8-10 servings.
