1 cup of whole grain rice

Wash the rice well and put it in a pot
Add four cups of water, salt, and bring to boil
Meanwhile, heat up the remaining water and cook the green onion
Simmer and reserve
To one side, warm up the oil and sauté the onion, garlic, and thyme
When the rice water is almost dry, add the reserved green onion and the sautéed mixture
Mix well and return to heat until the water has evaporated.
