12 chicken wings
1/3 cup of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of garlic
1 tablespoon of dry sherry or Madeira wine
2 slices of fresh ginger

In a large skillet, combine the chicken wings with all the ingredients
Add 1/3 cup of water and bring to a boil
Cover and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes, or until cooked through, stirring occasionally
Remove the cover and continue cooking while spooning the sauce over the chicken, for another 15 minutes
Let it cool down and serve chilled
