1/2 kg of green beans (sold in pods and shelled at home) or mulatinho beans
12 tablespoons of water
200g of smoked bacon, cut into small cubes
1 1/2 cups of uncooked rice
1 bell pepper, cut into small squares (50g)
1 onion, finely chopped (100g)
4 soup spoons of oil
1 cup of grated cheese or mines
Salt and black pepper to taste

Cook the beans with water and bacon. Reserve
Fry the onion and bell pepper in oil until they're soft
Add the rice and fry for a bit longer
Add the beans with 3 cups of cooking broth and cook until the rice is tender
Season with salt and black pepper
Add grated cheese, cut into small pieces, and serve hot.
