Grease a flat surface with butter
In a deep 9.5-inch microwave-safe bowl, mix all the ingredients well
Heat in the microwave on high for 8 minutes or until it reaches the hard ball stage (test by dipping a small amount of the mixture into cold water; if it forms a ball that doesn't break apart, it's ready)
Spread over the greased surface and let cool
With a spoon, remove small portions of caramel and shape into balls with your hands
When they are completely cool, wrap them in wax paper
