In a saucepan, combine the gelatin, orange juice, cold water, and artificial sweetener or to taste
Whisk well
Add the beaten egg whites and cook over low heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes
Remove from heat, add the grated orange zest and food coloring
Let cool slightly, whisking occasionally
Beat the egg yolks until stiff peaks form
Fold the egg yolks into the gelatin mixture carefully
Pour the mixture into a serving dish and refrigerate until firm, about 8 hours
Garnish with a ring of whipped cream and sprinkle with grated orange zest
Serve chilled.
