Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a caramel over low heat
Line the bottom and sides of an 18 cm round baking dish with the caramel, leaving a hole in the middle
Set aside
Beat the remaining ingredients in a blender until smooth, then pour into the prepared dish
Bake in a preheated moderate oven (180°C) for about 40 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean
Let it rest for 8 hours.
