Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (170°F)
Melt the chocolate with butter in a large saucepan over low heat
Remove from heat and combine with sugar, flour, vanilla, and eggs
Beat well
Spread half of the dough into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish
Make the filling: mix all ingredients together and spread over the dough
using a spatula
Cover with the remaining chocolate dough
Bake for 35-40 minutes, let cool and cut into bars.
