1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
2 large eggs, beaten until light and fluffy
1 cup grated coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup corn flakes, crushed
1 cup shredded coconut
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans or Brazil nuts

Preheat the oven
Beat the first three ingredients until well combined
Press into a greased 30x20x5 cm pan; bake for 15 minutes
Mix the eggs with 1 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy
Add remaining ingredients and mix lightly
Spread this mixture over the baked portion
Bake for an additional 20 minutes
Cut into bars while still warm
Let cool approximately 40 minutes.
