4 medium-sized sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 cm thick slices
1 medium-sized onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup of warm water
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 tablespoons of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon of oregano
1/2 cup of milk
1 cup of grated cheese, Gouda, sharp cheddar or mozzarella

In a 20x20 cm square baking dish, arrange layers with the sweet potatoes and onion
Add warm water and salt
Cover with plastic wrap (Rolopack e Magipack) leaving one corner open
Place in the microwave on high for 11 minutes or until the sweet potato is cooked but still firm
In a small bowl, melt butter in the microwave on high for 1/2 minute
Add flour and oregano and mix well
Add milk gradually while mixing constantly
Pour the sauce over the sweet potatoes, sprinkle with cheese, and place in the microwave on medium for about 5 minutes covered until the mixture is hot and the cheese melted
Remove from the oven and let it rest covered for 10 minutes.
