9 oval potatoes, approximately 8 cm long

salt and pepper to taste

Make several vertical holes on each potato (like cutting it into thin slices, but the knife shouldn't reach the bottom)
Pretend with melted butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper
Place in the baking dish along with the roast
The potatoes should be cooked until they're tender and can be easily speared with a fork
If necessary, let it cook for a bit longer after removing the roast from the oven.
