1 kg of round yams
2 small onions, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup (chopped) of black olive oil
Salt to taste
1/2 cup (chopped) of green olives
1/2 cup (chopped) of black olives
2 tablespoons of oregano
1 pepper pod, seeds removed, finely chopped
1 kg of round yams

1 Clean the yams well and boil them with their skins in plenty of water for 20 minutes or until they're tender
While that's happening, blend the onion, garlic, olive oil, and a pinch of salt in a blender to get a paste
2 Drain the yam and, while it's still warm, add the blended mixture, the olives, oregano, pepper, and salt
Mix well
3 Let it cool, put it in an airtight container, and refrigerate for at least five days
Serve with salad or as an appetizer.
