1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

Soak the almonds in boiling water for 1 minute
Drain and peel them
Dry the almonds thoroughly with a clean cloth and process them in a blender or food processor until they're finely ground
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together until you have a soft dough that can be worked by hand
Divide the dough into 12 portions and tint them with your desired color
Shape each portion into a small animal (e.g
elephant, bear, etc.)
Make 12 marzipan morsels in total
Note: These sweets can be made up to two days in advance
Store them in an airtight container to keep them from drying out.
