Pound the steak thoroughly
Season with salt and black pepper
Dust with a little all-purpose flour
In a skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over high heat and fry the steak slices on both sides until golden brown
Remove from the skillet and keep warm in a serving dish
Add the remaining butter to the skillet and let it melt
Add the onion and fry, stirring occasionally, until caramelized
Drain on paper towels
Top the steak with the fried onion and serve.
