1 cup of butter or margarine
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons of milk
3 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
1/2 cup of chopped nuts
1 cup of butter or margarine
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

Beat the butter or margarine with two forks
Add the egg and milk, beating well
Sift the flour with baking soda and cinnamon over this mixture
Add the nuts
Shape into rolls about 5 cm in diameter
Wrap each roll in waxed paper and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight
Unwrap the rolls and cut into slices about 1/2 cm thick
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet, leaving some space between the biscuits
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for about 6 minutes, or until lightly golden
Remove from the baking sheet immediately and let cool
