Beat the butter or margarine well
Add the all-purpose flour and confectioner's sugar, a little at a time, beating well
Combine the beaten eggs and vanilla
Mix well
Sift the flour with the baking soda and salt
Mix with the butter mixture
Refrigerate for 1 hour or more
Roll out to a thickness of about 1/2 cm and cut into fish-shaped or penguin shapes
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for 15 minutes
