Make the dough
In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and ginger
Add the softened butter at room temperature
Mix the ingredients with your hands until they form a crumbly mixture
Beat the egg with maple syrup and add it to the remaining dough
Mix it well with your hands until it becomes firm and consistent
Form small balls, about the size of a marble
Place them on a greased baking sheet, leaving about 5 centimeters between each one
Bake in a moderate oven for approximately 15 minutes
Tentatively remove from the oven, let cool slightly in the pan, then serve
Serve with a sprinkle of orange zest
