Take the butter out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before using
Beat it with a wooden spoon until creamy
Add the sugar, grated orange zest, and beat again until well combined
The mixture should be smooth and fluffy
Add the egg and beat again
Now, add the freshly squeezed orange juice and finally the flour and yeast
Mix well and refrigerate until the dough is firm enough to be opened
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness
Cut into desired shapes with a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass
Place the biscuits onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch between each
Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 8 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
