1/2 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
3/4 cup of boiling water
1 1/2 tablespoons of grated orange zest
1/4 cup of orange juice
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
6 bananas
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter or margarine
1/2 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
3/4 cup of boiling water
1 1/2 tablespoons of grated orange zest
1/4 cup of orange juice
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
6 bananas
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter or margarine
Mix the sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a saucepan, then add the boiling water gradually
Bring to a simmer and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until thickened, stirring constantly
Remove from heat and add the grated orange zest, orange juice, lemon juice, and melted butter or margarine
Cut the bananas in half lengthwise and arrange them in a refractory dish with the cut side facing down
Brush with the remaining melted butter or margarine, drizzle with the orange glaze, and bake at moderate temperature (170°F) for 10 to 20 minutes
Serve warm, spooning the orange glaze over the bananas, and serve 6 portions.
