Preheat the oven to low temperature (150°F)
Place the popped corn in a shallow dish, greased with butter or margarine, and put it in the oven to keep warm
Combine the sugar, Karo, chocolate chips, vinegar, and salt in a saucepan
Stir well
Bring to medium heat
Add the butter or margarine
Cook while stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves
Let it boil and add the milk gradually, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a soft-ball stage
Remove the popped corn from the oven and pour the chocolate mixture over it
Mix well and shape into small balls with the popped corn, greasing your hands well
Make about 12 balls.
