500 g of prime ground beef
250 g of veal moída
250 g of pork loin moída
2 eggs
1/2 cup of fine breadcrumbs
3/4 cup of chopped parsley
1/4 cup of finely chopped scallions
a spoonful of marjoram (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
bacon slices for covering the beef

Preheat the oven
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except bacon
Mix everything with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overmix
Grease a pirex or baking dish with aluminum foil and shape into an oval form around the beef
Place the beef on the foil and cover with bacon slices
Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes
Serve with tomato sauce.
