Soak the cod in water for one day, changing the water
Cook the cod with potatoes (whole, with skin)
Drain
Break down the cod well
Peel the potatoes and squeeze them
Combine the cod and potatoes, and mix well
Add the egg yolks, garlic, parsley, onion, and Porto wine
Mix
Beat the egg whites until fluffy and add to the mixture
Mix and shape the fritters with two tablespoons of oil (or by hand in the form of croquettes)
Fry in hot oil, three at a time
