Peel and cook the maniocos until they're tender

Remove the skin, cut them in half, and remove the central core
Purée the maniocos in a food processor

In a bowl, combine the cooked maniocos, grated cheese, egg, flour, salt, and red pepper flakes
Mix well and add more flour if needed

Heat the olive oil in a pan, sauté the onion and beef for 3 minutes
Let it cool down
Mold the mixture into small balls and fill with your favorite filling

Dip each ball in the beaten egg, then coat in breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
