1 kg of ground beef
1 cup of breadcrumbs fresh from the bakery
1 egg beaten well
1 large onion, peeled and grated on a coarse grater
1/3 cup of finely chopped onion
salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup of milk (approximately)
1 large apple cored and cut into 8 wedges

2 tablespoons of honey
1 tablespoon of mustard

In a bowl, combine all the ingredients except for the milk and grated apple
Add the milk gradually until the mixture thickens
Spread in an English muffin tin measuring 22.5 x 12.5 cm and top with the apple wedges
Bake in a moderate temperature oven (180°C) for 1 hour
Remove from the oven and cover the surface with the glaze mixture
Bake for another 15 minutes
Let it cool at room temperature.
