3/4 cup of yams
1 cup of wheat flour
5 spoons (tablespoons) of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1 cup of non-fat milk
1 beaten egg
2 tablespoons of oil
70 drops of vanilla or to taste
1 tablespoon of sweet marjoram
1/4 cup of toasted cashew nuts for sprinkling (optional)

Mix all dry ingredients, add the rest except for the cashew nuts, and mix well
Place in a 20 cm diameter pudding mold greased and bake in a hot oven (220°F) for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Unmold onto a wire rack and let cool
If desired, sprinkle with cashew nuts
Serve 12 slices.
