Beat the butter with the sugar until smooth
Combine together the flour and yeast
Dissolve the guarana syrup in water
Add the flour to the butter mixture, alternating with the guarana syrup, ending with the flour
Mix well
Mix everything thoroughly
Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the dough carefully
Pour into a greased cake pan (27 cm diameter), and bake in a moderate oven preheated to 180°C for about 90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Let cool for 24 hours.
