1 cup of chopped walnuts

100g of butter
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
300g of ricotta or soft cheese
1 cup of seedless raisins
1 cup of chopped walnuts
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
Grease a round cake pan with plenty of butter. Spread 1 cup of chopped walnuts. Reserve. Mix the sugar, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Reserve. Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and ricotta until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Fold in the flour and baking powder. Beat again. Add the raisins and nuts and mix gently. In the prepared cake pan, place the layers as follows:
1. 1/3 of the batter
2. Half of the chocolate mixture
3. Another 1/3 of the batter
4. The other half of the chocolate
5. The remaining batter

Bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes, then in a moderate oven until the surface is golden brown (about 40 minutes)
Remove from the oven after 30 minutes.
