Cake Flour
1 and 3/4 cups (12 oz) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (2 sticks) granulated sugar
8 large eggs
150g dark chocolate, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
10 large egg whites
Topping
1 additional cup (2 oz) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup whole milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
200g white chocolate chips

Topping
1 additional cup (2 oz) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup whole milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
200g white chocolate chips
Cake Mix: Beat the butter, sugar, and eggs for 10 minutes
Remove from mixer and fold in melted chocolate. Reserve
Beat egg whites until stiff
Alternately, add beaten egg whites and sifted flour to reserved cake mix and mix gently after each addition
Pour into a greased and floured pan with a removable bottom and bake in a medium oven. Reserve
Topping: Combine sugar, milk, butter, and white chocolate chips in a saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened
Spread over warm cake and serve with extra chocolate syrup
