Beat the whites until stiff and firm
Beat the yolks with butter or margarine
Combine the flour, pecans, and dried plums
Add the beaten whites, mixing carefully
Grease a 25 cm x 12 cm English cake pan with butter or margarine and dust with all-purpose flour
Spread the dough in the pan
Bake at moderate temperature (170°C)
Remove from the mold and let cool completely
Cut into thin slices, serve as is or place in a baking dish and bake hot (200°C) for 10 minutes on each side.
