Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (170°C)
Bake the butter and eggs until thickened and pale yellow
Add the melted butter, vanilla extract, and beat well
Add the chopped nuts
Sift together the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon
Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture
Pour into a small 30 cm greased pan and bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
Serve warm
