150g of almond flour
125g of ground almonds
125g of butter
125g of chocolate bar
3 eggs
3 tablespoons of rum extract
a pinch of salt
50g of sliced almonds
one cherry in syrup
150g of almond flour
125g of ground almonds
125g of butter
125g of chocolate bar
3 eggs
3 tablespoons of rum extract
a pinch of salt
50g of sliced almonds
one cherry in syrup
Use a preferred oval or rectangular mold and cut out the cake's shape after it has been de-molded to resemble a fish, which is not difficult with a well-sharpened knife
Then, mix together the almond flour and ground almonds
Melt together the chocolate and 100g of butter, mixing well with the almond flour and ground almonds
Mix everything and add the egg yolks and rum extract
Beat the egg whites until foamy with a pinch of salt and add to the previous mixture, stirring lightly without beating
Pour into a greased mold and bake in a moderate oven for about 40 minutes
After that, stick a toothpick or the edge of a knife: if it comes out dry, the cake is done
Remove from the mold and let cool completely
Decorate the fish-shaped cake to form fins and tail and place the cherry where the eye would be
Dust the body of the 'fish' with sliced almonds as if they were scales.
