Prepare the banana pudding according to instructions and refrigerate it

Meanwhile, prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake in two layers

Add approximately 1/2 cup of shredded coconut to the cooled pudding

Spread over one layer of cake

Place another layer on top and cover with pudding, spreading shredded coconut all over the cake.
