Wash the broccoli in cold water
Separate the broccoli into florets of medium size
Remove the tough stalks and cut them diagonally into 2.5 cm pieces, discarding the stems
Place the stalks cut apart in a separate bowl
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and spread it evenly across the pan
Heat the oil for about 30 seconds and reduce the heat if it starts to smoke
Next, add the broccoli stalks and fry for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until they are well coated with oil
Add the florets of broccoli and fry for an additional 1 minute
Sprinkle with salt and black pepper and add the chicken broth, stirring well, for a few seconds
Cover the skillet and cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes; the broccoli should be slightly tender
Transfer to a warm serving dish and serve immediately
