1/2 cup of basil

6 slices of Italian bread with 1 cm thickness
5 seedless tomatoes, diced into cubes

4 balls of buffalo mozzarella, cut into cubes

Heat a non-stick skillet with olive oil, add the bread and cook until golden brown

Remove the bread from the skillet

Cut a clove of garlic in half and rub it on each slice

Discard the garlic and reserve the toasted bread

In a bowl, mix together the tomato, basil, oregano, half of the olive oil, and three cloves of garlic

Season with salt and black pepper

Remove the garlic and distribute the mixture over each slice of bread

Top with mozzarella and drizzle with the remaining olive oil

Sprinkle with additional oregano and bake in a moderate oven for 10 minutes, or until the mozzarella is melted.
