Strip the white pith from the lime and cut it into thin slices
In a shallow glass, place the lime and sugar
Muddle with a muddler
Add Cachaça and, using a spoon or a stirrer, mix it with the lime and sugar
Add ice and, if desired, garnish the rim of the glass with a lime wheel.
