In a medium saucepan, mix all the ingredients well
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, preferably with a wooden spoon
Cook over medium heat until it forms a crust at the bottom of the pan
Pour into a greased baking dish
Let cool slightly
Shape into balls or candy shapes in cajun form
Decorate each candy with a peanut half
If desired, dip the candies in crystallized sugar before adding the roasted peanut.
