1/2 kg of sliced strawberries
3/4 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
1/2 kg of sliced strawberries

In a saucepan, heat the strawberries and water until it starts to boil
Avoid boiling and cook without covering for 5 minutes
Sieve the strawberries with the liquid through a strainer lined with a damp cloth
Press well to remove all the liquid
Heat the liquid again together with the sugar
Let it boil and simmer for 3 minutes
Let it cool down
This syrup can be stored in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 months
It's great over fresh fruits, ice cream, or cake slices
Serve 1 3/4 cups or approximately 28 tablespoons (of soup).
