'750g of beef cut into 5cm cubes'
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup finely chopped onion
100g of bacon, cut into thin strips
1 well-piced carrot
1 well-piced celery stalk
3 tablespoons pickled cucumber, diced
2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and drained
1 cup red wine
1/2 cup hot water
Salt and black pepper to taste

1/2 cup hot water
Salt and black pepper to taste
Dust the beef cubes in flour and sear them in hot olive oil in a large skillet
Remove the beef and set it aside
In the same skillet, add the vegetable oil, onion, and bacon
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the onion is golden brown
Add the carrot, celery, pickled cucumber, and capers to the skillet
Cook for 5 minutes
Return the beef to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper
Add the red wine and hot water to the skillet
Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender and the sauce is thickened
If necessary, add more hot water in small increments
Serve hot.
