1/2 cup of chopped onion
2 cups of hot water
3/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley (or paprika)
3/4 cup of diced potatoes
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1 sprig of thyme
3 tomatoes, halved
250 g of beef

1 Brown the beef in oil or butter
Add the onion and let it fry for five minutes
2 Add the remaining ingredients, except the tomato
Mix well, scraping the bottom of the pan
3 Let it simmer, covered, until the potato is tender
4 Add the tomato and cook for another ten minutes
Serve immediately.
