2 cups (cherries) of water
2 handfuls of black cherry pits
5 dried and pitless black plums
1 tablespoon of grated lime rind
Jamaican pepper to taste

Bring the water, black cherry pits, cherries, and lime rind to a boil
Simmer for one minute
Remove from heat and let rest for three minutes
Remove the pits and blend the mixture in a blender until smooth
Strain through a cheesecloth and reheat over low heat
Serve dusted with Jamaican pepper
