'6 medium-sized ripe mangoes, peeled and cut'

Mix all the ingredients, except for the apples and mangoes, in a large pot
Cook for 1 hour or until the liquid has thickened like syrup and is transparent
Add the apples and mangoes and continue cooking until the fruits are soft
Pour hot sterilized jars, leaving a small space at the top
Close tightly
Achieve approximately 2 1/2 liters
This makes an excellent accompaniment to meats and curry dishes.
